In steam and condensate systems, condensate often has to be lifted to elevated pipelines, for example heat exchangers that are installed at a lower level than the condensate main. This can cause waterhammer which leads to damage of your steam system pipeline components and can create unsafe conditions for your staff.
The condensate dampening pot is installed at the lowest point of the pipeline. It provides a cushioning effect to neutralise waterhammer and allows condensate to be discharged without noise.
