In every steam system we find the deaerator. Normally, its wasted-steam-flow flows unused into the atmosphere to get rid of non-condensable gases. However, this means we lose energy. The GESTRA Vapour Heat Exchanger makes it possible to save this energy from the wasted-steam-flow for heating. This can be used, to preheat water for the deaerator itself so that we have less heating steam demand in the deaerator. Furthermore, the condensate can also be recovered due to the condensation in the GESTRA Vapor Heat Exchanger.
