Controles de Sólidos Dissolvidos Totais (TDS)
Durante sua formação na caldeira, o vapor deixa impurezas, os chamados sólidos totais dissolvidos (TDS). Se essas impurezas se concentrarem, poderão causar danos à caldeira.
Além disso, esses sólidos acumulam impurezas nos tubos de incêndio e reduzem a transferência de calor. O resultado é um custo de produção de vapor mais elevado.
Os controles de sólidos dissolvidos totais medem a condutividade elétrica da água da caldeira, o que detecta o nível de sólidos dissolvidos totais na caldeira.
