Sales Engineer

GESTRA is a global leader in the engineering, design, production and application of valves and controls systems for heat and process fluid controls. As a German manufacturer, GESTRA offers range of products and intelligent solutions with maximum reliability.

GESTRA operates in many industrial segments, with primary focus on Power Generation, Chemical and Boiler OEM, mostly through distribution and direct sales channels. Asia-Pacific Headquarters is in Singapore.

Currently, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to take role as Sales Engineer to join our team in Thailand to drive revenue and market share growth aspiration as well as support business growth objectives.

Sales Engineer

Objectives for Role

  • To drive sales growth objectives set for Gestra Thailand
  • To implement the company’s strategy to become a leader in Power Generation, Chemical and Boiler OEM segments
  • To provide leadership and support to effectively deliver our comprehensive solution and services to our customers by improving safety, reliability, and energy efficiency throughout their steam systems
  • To demonstrate our core values of safety, integrity, respect, excellence, customer focus and collaboration in our daily activities, both internally as well as externally

Responsibility

  • Achieve orders, sales, and profit targets by providing expertise and solution knowledge that allows end users to maximize their energy efficiency and optimize process productivity
  • Support and build relationship with distribution channels, support sales efforts by jointly calling on end users. Participate in planning sessions and develop their technical abilities
  • Expand Gestra business by proactively search new customers while maintaining strong services to existing customers
  • Undertake a business plan for assigned territories in accordance with set and agreed KPIs and company standards.
  • Complete and submit reports on sales calls, quote volume and values and performance at weekly and monthly intervals or as directed by the line manager.
  • Assist management in the development of Annual Plans to create sustainable growth of Thailand market. Implement business strategy and tactical plans, including pricing management, to drive profitable growth
  • Conduct surveys and audits and provide training for customers to strengthen the relationship, capture the opportunities, and translate into growth
  • Ensure that customers receive accurate and timely quotations and support for products and services. Ensure customer delight with our products and services and identify needs for potential business growth

Skills / Certifications

  • 3 to 5 years working experience in industrial sales and proven track record of sales growth achievements
  • Experience with Multi-National Companies is a must
  • Good communications skills (verbal/written) with the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Persuasive communication and interpersonal and planning management skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Personal attributes: Commitment, problem solver, high energy, positive thinker, and self-driven
  • People attributes: Ability to lead and recognize customers’ needs
  • Knowledge of steam systems and valve business is a plus
  • Sales experience in Power, Oil & Gas, Boiler OEM, Chemical and Petrochemical is a plus
  • Good organization, time management and analytical abilities
  • Computer skills – Complete MS Office

Education requirement:

Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Industrial Automation Engineering Degree
