Data Scientist (gn*) - Connected Services

Data Scientist (gn*) - Connected Services

 

Tasks

  • Refine (clean) aggregate and interpret data in preparation for analysis
  • Deliver automated (including AI enabled) reports including advisories and notifications as part of the Gestra Cloud application
  • Build reusable solutions and implement best practice Data science framework / processes
  • Develop predictive insights to determine steam system condition and optimize its performance
  • Use advanced machine learning methods and discovery analytics to solve challenging problems in steam systems and identify solutions based on raw data
  • Assess the effectiveness of data sources and data-gathering techniques and improve data collection methods
  • Establish new systems and processes and look for opportunities to improve data flow

 

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science or other related fields
  • Programming Languages: SQL and non-SQL, R, Java, Python, MATLAB, Spark, Kafka or equivalent tools
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
  • Experience of using Cloud technologies e.g. Azure or AWS
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using various insights tools (e.g. PowerBI)
  • Strong verbal /written communication and data presentation skills (PowerPoint or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English
